Nikita Kash at www.travelingentertainers.com gave me the heads up on the Grand Opening of this club. I drove by before it opened last week just to scope out the location. It is actually a brand new building about a mile north of Oasis Gentlemen’s Club. A few of the Oasis owners are also owners of this club. Here is the blurb from the Philadelphia Inquirer, scroll down to the bottom.
I arrived at 9:30 for the start of my 10-2 shift. The club is brand new, and yes the tanning bed in the dressing room mentioned in the article is apparently very strong. The club has a great set-up for the owners and the customers, but it is not optimal from the dancers’ perspective. Read more...(566 words, estimated 2:16 mins reading time)
Tiana asked a really good question in the comments. You may have missed it because it was in a post from several weeks ago. She wants to know how I respond to customers when they ask “What happens in the VIP room?”
I have several different responses, which one I use depending on the customer’s personality type, the current lapdance turnover rate, and mySuperStripper intuition. Your own SuperStripper intuition will develop the more you learn how to read personality types, and deal with this type of situation. Read more...(355 words, estimated 1:25 mins reading time)
If you haven’t been checking out the Fun Stuff Page, or following my Facebook or Twitter…you have been missing the proliferation of mainstream newsmedia articles regarding the influx of desperate cash-strapped women to the industry.
As a result, I have gotten a lot of emails from women who want to know, “What is the absolute WORST thing that could happen to me if I decide to become a stripper?” I usually send them to this blogpost that I wrote way back in the earliest days of my blog, entitled The Weirdest Thing That Ever Happened to Me at a Strip Club. For all you newcomers, my original blog is located on Myspace. I didn’t transfer the comments when I republished the blog here at StripandGrowRich, but you can search for it using the date in the myspace sidebar if you want to read the comments. I am VERY pleased with the feedback from my BetaTesters! It is so fulfilling to know that I’m helping!
From Luvbuniz in Las Vegas via www.stripperweb.com “I’ve bought the new Dancerwealth and it’s good. It’s not a rehash of the old course and much more sales based. I pretty much banked the first few days after watching the videos.”
My evening started with the guys from West Virginia at the bar. I was sipping my Diet Coke when one of the middle aged white guys in a golf shirt stumbled over his own foot and plowed into the barstool next to me. “I’ve been drinkin’ since noon…” he mumbles. I have been actively working on my bar-hustle because I usually gravitate towards the guys sitting at a table before the guys sitting at the bar. After a bit of chit-chat I begin to set up my test-close, “The only problem with hanging out here at the bar is that you don’t have a lap!” The test close is NOT asking directly for a dance, but rather leading the conversation in that direction to gauge how ready he is to be closed. West Virginia was ready, he basically sold himself “Yeah, I need a lap for you to give me a lapdance. Lets go over there.” Read more...(378 words, estimated 1:31 mins reading time)
Adult entertainment is a business that has long been considered nearly recession-proof. And today in Dallas, there was more proof in the pole. Hundreds attended a job fair called Jobless to Topless. Applicant David Ward says, “Definitely more of a bonus than a negative.” It’s was the first annual event by Burch Management, which is looking to fill about 200 jobs in its 9 gentlemen’s clubs throughout North Texas. Burch V.P. Steve Craft says, “We do a lot of advertising we do a lot for the community and I think you’re really starting to see that. And people are getting more comfortable coming out.” The turnout ranged from college students to those in investment banking. Men and women applying not just for entertainer openings, but chefs, bartenders, hair, makeup and nail techs and clerical staff. Applicant Jessica Waggoner says, “I need some experience and administrativApril 22, 2009 Adult entertainment is a business that has long been considered nearly recession-proof. Finding a job in this economy can be difficult, but when your last employer was a strip club it can be next to impossible. The nonprofit group, “New Friends New Life” is a faith-based organization located in Dallas that assists women who want to leave the world of sexually-oriented businesses.
“You’re too tall” was my first response of the night. “Not to be rude or anything…but you’re not my type.”
I had two choices, smile and walk on by or try again. There was no one else and Mr Objection was my target client:early 40s wearing a golf shirt, his own 6 foot 2 frame sprawled across two straight backed chairs.
“Well, it all lines up when I straddle you, doesn’t it?” I replied with my best come-back.
It worked he smiled, leaned back opening up his body language and I sat in the empty chair.Read more...(199 words, estimated 48 secs reading time)
Two nights ago I went out and bought Blogging For Dummies. You’d think after two years I would know what I’m doing, but there is so much cool stuff out there that I didn’t even know about! I spent the last few days boning up on RSS feeds, Podcasting, Widgets, and Plugins….
What I discovered is that I NEED TO MOVE because the Myspace blogging platform doesn’t provide me with the tools I need! But that’s okay, because I’m moving in conjunction with the Launch of www.StripandGrowRich.com! Read more...(284 words, 1 image, estimated 1:08 mins reading time)
