The other night, as I was walking into my club to work my shift,I saw three customers. One was at the bar, hanging out with the waitresses-a patron of the club, not the dancers. Another guy was sitting on the floor, but a girl was chatting him up. The last customer is the tip rail.
Have you ever been stuck in a scenario like this one? I see this more often than I would like, normally at the beginning of my shift.

When you decide that you are ready to begin a career in dancing there are many things that you need to know prior to going and getting hired at a club of your choice. The first thing you want to do is go to a club that you are thinking of working at as a customer during the desired shift that you wish to work. You want to see what the club looks like, who the customers are, what the other dancers are like and if it is a place you can see yourself spending a decent amount of time at. Read more... First let me give my definition of the Madonna/Whore Complex. I use the more mainstream definition, rather than Freud’s spin on it. Why? Because Freud was a behaviorist who proported psychic determinism and allow us to blame other people both past and present for our current decisions. Personally I favor Viktor Frankel’s theory of self-determinism, which basically says that YOU control your own destiny, even if your parents didn’t do the best job raising you.
So, my definition of the Madonna/Whore Complex:

Are they real?
The controversy arises not because the woman’s breasts are discolored, lopsided, furry, hexagonal, or metallic, but because they are simply large (and/or well-rounded). One question: since when are plastic surgeons installing holograms? Ok, so silicone isn’t natural, but it exists for Christ’s sake. So, Gino the day manager put signs up in the dressing room this week.
“I need lots of girls to work on Friday. I am hosting a VIP Party starting at 6 pm. Please be here and ready to work this lucrative party”
So, I carpool in with Jaynie the housemom. I figure, even if this “VIP Party” is stupid like the last one….at least I can raid the buffet table.

Boston people are so cool.
The Red Sox were playing the Dbacks this weekend. I was totally expecting the average “Phoenix in June” crowd this weekend. But WOW! Am I glad I was wrong!
Apparently it’s next to impossible to to get tickets to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. So what do all those Boston fans with cash burning in their bank accounts do??
