Back in Action!

I thoroughly enjoyed the last few days off from stripping. Even though I didn’t work at the club everynight, the drive up to Vegas last Sunday, and the drive home from Vegas last Thursday counted in my head as “work.” Sunday night, I shot a message out to my Dancerwealth.com business partner that just said “I need a day to NOT think about strip clubs.” Good thing too, because I went back into the recording studio yesterday full of energy and insight!

To Insure Proper Service

Friday night was a potpourri of previous customers.

I didn’t remember the first group of guys from San Francisco. I looked back in my book, and the week they were here was crazy busy. I tend to remember people better when I spend time with them in VIP and/or they buy several rounds of dances on the floor. But they remembered me…

“You probably don’t remember me,” Jake started “but you were my favorite when we were here in November.” That statement automatically qualified Jake as a buyer. I didn’t have to spend much time building rapport…because I already had it!

My Reflections

One of the reasons that I stress every SuperStripper should pick one home club and stick with it, is to avoid the stress of wondering “Where should I work tonight?” or “I hope I don’t pick the wrong club tonight!”

About 5 years ago I worked at both Skin in Scottdale and Christie’s in Phoenix. Every night, as I was driving up the 101, I would have to make a choice….do I stay on the 101 and go
to Skin…or do I get on the 202 and go to Christie’s? It took a near accident one night as I changed lanes last minute to convince me that I needed to just pick one club, build up my social capital, and cultivate a base clientele.

World of Concrete 2009

Is not as packed as World of Concrete 2008. I think that is par for the course for many of the conventions this year. Apparently Obama’s infrastructure overhaul has created lots of government initiatives and incentives that the concrete companies are scrambling over. Hopefully, they will be sealing deals in the VIP room the next few nights.

I overcame my mental obstacle yesterday. Often, my inspirational posts are an effort to re-program my own thinking. I was frustrated because The Whale cancelled on me last minute, and I was expecting an easy 10 hours in VIP over a few nights. I know, boo-hoo, poor SuperStripper…cry your eyes out for me. I honestly wanted to just turn around and go home with a bunch of excuses on why it wasn’t worth it to stay.

What is YOUR Excuse

The slogan of The Para-lypmpics says it all. “What’s your excuse?”

If there is anything in your life that is not the way you want it to be, you and only you are responsible for changing it. It is up to YOU to create the solutions to your life, whether they are big or small. Each time you give an excuse, you dimish your respect, dignity, and integrity…and re-inforce the habit of making excuses in the future.

Effectively, making excuses is just an attempt to rationalize your lack of results.

Friday Night FBR Crowd

The evening began when I stepped on the floor. I saw a round faced older gentleman sitting alone and made him my first target. However the young couple next to him flagged me down first. “Dance for her,” the mid twentyish kid said while handing me a twenty. She was about 5 foot 1 and a size 0. Usually petite women look for other petite women, but she sat back in the chair, and said “I always wanted to be tall and curvy!” We always want what we don’t have. She kept nervously tapping her foot the whole time, but laid back and just enjoyed the sensation of hair and warm skin.

Success is NOT a Accident

Post Image

I was waiting for my prescription at Walgreens yesterday, and they conveniently relocated the book section to the pharmacy area. So I browsed the selections, and this book caught my eye:
51aLHlrV9yL. SL210 Success is NOT a Accident

So I sat down, checked out the table of contents and was intrigued by this passage:

Another key in striving for success is to get over expecting life to be fair. A level playing field is a self-indulgent and unproductive fantasy. In this world, it will never happen, nor should it: Insisting on a level playing field disrupts your attention and distracts you from your ultimate objective.

Day 3 of 9

I’m in the first trimester of my longest work stint yet. Thus my posts have not been very original.

I was expecting the same fabulous forty and over crowd this week for FBR. That hasn’t been the case, and thus my first two nights were not stellar. Keep in mind, they were profitable which is essential for keeping a business going considering the plethora of businesses like the nations 2nd largest electronics retailer Circuit City which could not turn a profit.

The attitude we project at work is essential to success. Even if you think you are projecting a positive attitude, it doesn’t matter if the customer doesn’t interpret it that way.

Contemplating the Boobs We Were

I’m really glad Kim Kiyosaki started blogging again (or…ahem… hired someone to write for her again) at www.richwoman.com

This was the entry from last week

I want to share with you an article that appeared in The New York Times
on December 28. The article is titled, “Contemplating the Boobs We Were”and was sent to me by Donald Trump. Donald has fully embraced his
role as a financial educator.

The author cleverly describes how
so many people became “boobs and easy marks” in the financial markets
and lost millions. He asks, “Are we doomed forever to be fleeced or is
there anything we can learn from this latest round of financial
catastrophe?” His answer:

DancerWealth and this upcoming FBR Week

I spent over 5 hours in the recording studio (aka my desk with headset) yesterday working on the latest Dancerwealth Stripper Sales Training product. I still have a few kinks to work out, but I’m stoked. It’s going to be a BIG help for all those former secretaries/waitresses turned strippers.

This week is the FBR Golf Tournament here in Phoenix. I will once again, be working every available evening at Babe’s Cabaret in Scottsdale.
