Two nights ago I went out and bought Blogging For Dummies. You’d think after two years I would know what I’m doing, but there is so much cool stuff out there that I didn’t even know about! I spent the last few days boning up on RSS feeds, Podcasting, Widgets, and Plugins….
What I discovered is that I NEED TO MOVE because the Myspace blogging platform doesn’t provide me with the tools I need! But that’s okay, because I’m moving in conjunction with the Launch of www.StripandGrowRich.com! Read more...(284 words, 1 image, estimated 1:08 mins reading time)
is what my husband has said about his parents, our neighbors, and anyone who knows me from my “real life.” I agree to a certain extent, but as I am preparing this carefully timed mass media marketing campaign…I’m pretty sure there are going to be some pretty surprised people who find out what I’ve really been up to the past 10 years.
Will they treat me differently? Are they going to think bad things about me? Will they start whispering behind my back?
Probably. But it’s not stopping me. Read more...(305 words, 1 image, estimated 1:13 mins reading time)
The drive to Vegas was hot and sunny. I learned a long time ago that long road trips with the convertible top down REALLY tires me out. The drive took 6 hours this time due to the tourist traffic across Hoover Dam. I hope that bridge is completed soon. Took a quick nap and clocked in at Treasures at 7:30 pm. I paid the offstage fee since I walked in the door with a 5 hour deal already closed.
The Whale was waiting. Read more...(539 words, estimated 2:09 mins reading time)
We only get an edited look at the world around us. That is because our beliefs act as filters, screening out any evidence that doesn’t support what we want to believe is true.
1. As humans, we make life choices that harmonize with our beliefs. We unconsciously choose to put ourselves in situations and associate with people that fit our preconceptions. We avoid people and situations that might weaken or challenge what we believe to be true. Read more...(353 words, 1 image, estimated 1:25 mins reading time)
I added the question mark because….where is everyone? Babe’s was a ghost town last night! Well, other than the extra twenty girls who showed up to work (myself included, I HATE Thursday nights) and the handful that actually flew into town from Vegas to work the event. That alone speaks volumes on the current state of our industry. Read more...(348 words, estimated 1:24 mins reading time)
I thoroughly enjoyed the last few days off from stripping. Even though I didn’t work at the club everynight, the drive up to Vegas last Sunday, and the drive home from Vegas last Thursday counted in my head as “work.” Sunday night, I shot a message out to my Dancerwealth.com business partner that just said “I need a day to NOT think about strip clubs.” Good thing too, because I went back into the recording studio yesterday full of energy and insight! One of the reasons that I stress every SuperStripper should pick one home club and stick with it, is to avoid the stress of wondering “Where should I work tonight?” or “I hope I don’t pick the wrong club tonight!”
About 5 years ago I worked at both Skin in Scottdale and Christie’s in Phoenix. Every night, as I was driving up the 101, I would have to make a choice….do I stay on the 101 and go
to Skin…or do I get on the 202 and go to Christie’s? It took a near accident one night as I changed lanes last minute to convince me that I needed to just pick one club, build up my social capital, and cultivate a base clientele. Read more...(343 words, estimated 1:22 mins reading time)
The slogan of The Para-lypmpics says it all. “What’s your excuse?”
If there is anything in your life that is not the way you want it to be, you and only you are responsible for changing it. It is up to YOU to create the solutions to your life, whether they are big or small. Each time you give an excuse, you dimish your respect, dignity, and integrity…and re-inforce the habit of making excuses in the future.
Effectively, making excuses is just an attempt to rationalize your lack of results. Read more...(152 words, estimated 36 secs reading time)
