I don’t normally work on Thursdays. I need a day of recovery to hit the Fri/Sat crowd with 110% effort. But since Barrett-Jackson is in town, and it’s easy money, I forced myself to go in. Decided to break in a new pair of shoes. It was time: every three months I put the old pair up for auction on ebanned.com and use the profits to buy a new pair of stripper shoes.
8pm: clock in. 3 customers. The lone Asian man sitting stage side tips me a dollar. He is in town from Hong Kong on business. His English is good, but the conversation is rather elementary. Wednesdays have turned into my long day. It used to be Monday. I worked out with my personal trainer at 4pm, then did half an hour of cardio. Shower, change, spray tan, and arrive at Babes. I prefer to get ready at home, rather than in the dressing room of the strip club. House Fees have been re-instated at Babe’s Cabaret. It was nice to have free house for the first two weeks of the month. They didn’t have to do that, and they achieved the desired result (lots of girls showing up from other clubs to work because it was free) Back to $40 at 8pm. I am very impressed with the annual report they printed out for me last night which includes total house fees paid and total funny money tendered. Read more... I will be at Babe’s Cabaret Friday and Saturday Night. The Vikings are playing the Cardinals on Sunday, so I expect a lot of Minnesotans in town this weekend. Babe’s Cabaret is also the last stop on the Scottsdale Holiday Bar Crawl for Charity even on Saturday night. It should be a good weekend!
Another aspect of being a SuperStripper is knowing when to appropriately time double shifts and when to recharge the batteries. Work more hours during the busy season!!! Then when it is slow, you don’t have to force yourself to sit in an empty club hoping/waiting for customers.
After this weekend, I’m going to recharge my batteries. Based on my previous experiences, December is a very slow month in Phoenix until the Bowl Games begin to roll into town. My mom is in town for 8 days also, so I will be spending as much time with her as I can.

Well, not really. I went to bed at 8pm, so it makes sense that I would wake up at 4am. I have such a strong circadian rhythmn, that I’m up at the crack of dawn whenever I go on vacation. It is especially tough in the summertime since Arizona doesn’t observe daylight savings time and the crack of dawn comes at 5:15 am. Even in Vegas with the blinds drawn tightly shut, my body won’t let me sleep past 10am.

Kinda late post today. As I mentioned previously this week, I have noticed over the years that the last business day before Christmas is usually busier than the night shift. So, I worked the day shift for a change today. Coupled with the fact that Christie’s is 3 minutes from the airport, it was pretty hoppin’ around 3pm. There is still something weird to me about giving topless table dances while bright sunlight streams in through the door cracks.
So as I logged out of hotmail today, I saw this interesting article Sudden Divorce Syndrome Warning…it’s kind of long… but it gave me some insight to the psyche of one of the most frequent demographics of strip club patrons: recently divorced men. Gosh, I totally forgot why this week was so busy!
I’ve been working my @$$ off!!!!
San Francisco Bob is in town. He’s one of my longest running clients. Not surprisingly, the retention rate of VERY high dollar clients is pretty low in this business. Especially when you are upfront and honest like me. I’ve gotten into debates about this with co-workers who feed their families off the fantasy of “I’m a single girl, take care of me.” But that is soooooo not me. I just can’t do it.

Confidence Makes the Man
What makes a man sexy? Is it his eyes, his hair, his clothes? Maybe for the young and impressionable. Or is it his nice car, nice house, nice bank account? Nope. Confidence is the single most sexy trait in a man.
