Finding a job in this economy can be difficult, but when your last employer was a strip club it can be next to impossible. The nonprofit group, “New Friends New Life” is a faith-based organization located in Dallas that assists women who want to leave the world of sexually-oriented businesses.

Stripping vs Minimum wage

Some Perspective

To the co-worker I heard bitching in the locker room about how she’d be better off working at BeBe where she’s “guaranteed to make money for going to work” and “can have a discount on clothes too!”

Minimum wage goes up Jan. 1

The Associated Press

PHOENIX – Minimum wage workers in Arizona are set to get a raise starting January 1.

The 15-cent per hour boost is automatic under the state’s voter-approved minimum wage law, bringing the new wage to $6.90 per hour. In each following year, wages will be adjusted based on increases in the cost of living.

Job Security

As part of my portfolio management class, I was assigned a very basic homework task.  Anyone who has ever talked to a financial planner has been asked: what is your age, how many years until you retire, what is the value of your current portfolio, and how much do you need in there when you retire.  For the average employee with a 401k, these questions are pretty straightforward.  Not so much for a stripper.

When is it time for a stripper to retire?  When I was in my mid-twenties I said thirty.  When I turned thirty, I thought maybe thirty-five.  Now that I have shifted my paradigm from JobStripper to SuperStripper, I really don’t know.

Salary Statistics

After my recent bashing on Stripperweb http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100227 by two pessimistic crackheads who don’t have a clue about the leverage of money and are dead set in following outdated advice of “go to school, get a job, and hope your employer/government gives you a pension” I decided to move the discussion here where I can speak freely and not worry about hurting someone’s precious feelings and/or have my words twisted like a Chinese Acrobat.  That’s right, it’s my blog and I can say whatever the heck I want to say.  And if you are here (again on MY blog) you probably agree with me somewhat or feel I am credible enough to read my blog.
