Economic Darwinism in the Strip Club

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Bobbie in Atlanta sent me an email after listening to my interview on Playboy Radio last week.  Thanks again Christy Canyon and Nikki Hunter for having me on Night Calls!  Between squeezing each others boobs and talking about what Nikki  used to do in the Champagne Room (she didn’t really) we were able to talk about some things that really matter in the industry right now.

Bobbie was asking  about Economic Darwinism.  If you aren’t familiar with biologist Charles Darwin, you may have heard the phrase “survival of the fittest.”  In the wild, the strongest, smartest and most adaptable creatures were the ones who lived through tough times.  The weak and those who are unable or unwilling to adapt are the first to die.

Seems like “Desparate Women turn to Stripping” is all the buzz in the mainstream media

I’ve been a naughty blogger

And have missed a few SuperStripper inspiring posts this week.

In all honesty, I have been enjoying my time off, working on other projects, and relying on my other streams of income.

I’m not saying this to try to impress you, but rather to impress upon you that anyone can do what I am doing. Its not easy, or instantaneous, but it is one method to walk away from this industry The Victor.

Money Rules

Casey from www.mydancerdiary.com gave me a writing award!  Funny, I don’t consider myself much of a writer.  I always hated creative writing, but could ace the persuasive essay.  Hmmm…go figure!

Some interesting headlines I saw today.  The Recession is Officially Here. No way, really?  I could have told you that in January. I did the math today: my annual gross lapdance sales are down 20% from 2007. Also Depression 2009:What Will it Look Like? This one is a longer article, but I found it intriguing and very realistic.

Stripping is how I’ve Avoided Wage Slavery

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Once again, my insightful stripper colleagues: Susan at www.RivercityKitty.com and Tara at www.Hobostripper.com catapulted me into a philosophical trance yesterday.  They both posted their views on how stripping circumvents wage slavery.  Hobostripper’s is hidden deeper in her blog, the direct link is http://hobostripper.com/index.php/82/feminism-western-civilization-stripping-and-wage-slavery/

It was only within the past year that I came to grips with what I do.  For the past eight years I have hidden my profession from my family.  I tell people this and they are dumbfounded…”You mean your mother doesn’t know WHAT you do for a living?”  Uh, nope.
