I was waiting for my prescription at Walgreens yesterday, and they conveniently relocated the book section to the pharmacy area. So I browsed the selections, and this book caught my eye:

Day 3 of 9

I’m in the first trimester of my longest work stint yet. Thus my posts have not been very original.

I was expecting the same fabulous forty and over crowd this week for FBR. That hasn’t been the case, and thus my first two nights were not stellar. Keep in mind, they were profitable which is essential for keeping a business going considering the plethora of businesses like the nations 2nd largest electronics retailer Circuit City which could not turn a profit.

Awesome Day!

I always work on the nights I have a good day trading the markets.

I bought two S&P 500 futures contracts this morning at 806. For my non-trader friends, that means I make $100 for every point the S&P 500 climbs. Those contracts are now trading at 837.50 So I made $3150 sitting at my computer today for a few hours.

This is an example of leveraging the I quadrant. There isn’t a job in the world that will pay me $3k a day to sit at my computer, flip between www.slopeofhope.com, www.stripperweb.com, www.exoticdancernet.com, and sip my coffee. A great day like this doesn’t happen often. I do love my Wednesdays though, I don’t have to teach a fitness class in the morning, so I can sleep in and catch up on the markets.  Read more... Someone asked me how Panda got his blog name. He picked it. In his own words “Because everyone thinks pandas are so cute and so sweet….but get into the cage with ‘em and….they’re still A BEAR!”

Babes Cabaret was a sea of Red Cardinals Jerseys at 7pm on Sunday Night. After all these years, there is still just something weird about being in a strip club on Sunday night! Day FIVE Rocked!

Good things come to those who work their a$$ off….

Babe’s was steady all night long with Iggles Fans. I even resurrected my accent to trigger their Friendship Hot Button. I never had a very thick Philly accent, but at times water comes out “wood-er” and the plural of you is “yous” or “yous guys.”

Met a bunch of guys who drove down from Vegas to watch the Iggles play. Also ran into a guy who was the bouncer at Mr. J’s in Orange County. He was “too cool” to buy a dance. C’mon…just because you worked in the industry at some point doesn’t mean you’re too cool to purchase the service that once supported your own livelihood.  Read more... Barrett Jackson AND NFC Tourists Day 4

I’m getting old. Even compared to last year when I worked 7 days in a row for the Superbowl I don’t think I was this cranky….maybe I should go back and read those blogs from last year to check! After five hours of sleep, teaching spin class, extra cardio, and watching my 3 long ES futures contracts zoom back up into positive profits, I took a nap.

The problem with naps is that I wake up crankier and stiffer than I was BEFORE I took the nap. So I played a little bit of tennis ball in the sun with the retrievers. Barrett Jackson Day (sigh) Three!

I don’t normally work on Thursdays. I need a day of recovery to hit the Fri/Sat crowd with 110% effort. But since Barrett-Jackson is in town, and it’s easy money, I forced myself to go in. Decided to break in a new pair of shoes. It was time: every three months I put the old pair up for auction on ebanned.com and use the profits to buy a new pair of stripper shoes.

8pm: clock in. 3 customers. The lone Asian man sitting stage side tips me a dollar. He is in town from Hong Kong on business. His English is good, but the conversation is rather elementary. Barrett Jackson Day 2

Wednesdays have turned into my long day. It used to be Monday. I worked out with my personal trainer at 4pm, then did half an hour of cardio. Shower, change, spray tan, and arrive at Babes. I prefer to get ready at home, rather than in the dressing room of the strip club. Barrett-Jackson Day 1

House Fees have been re-instated at Babe’s Cabaret. It was nice to have free house for the first two weeks of the month. They didn’t have to do that, and they achieved the desired result (lots of girls showing up from other clubs to work because it was free) Back to $40 at 8pm. I am very impressed with the annual report they printed out for me last night which includes total house fees paid and total funny money tendered.  Read more... One of the motivational speakers from Acceleration Training this past weekend said something along the same lines as The Secret:

You have EXACTLY what you deserve in your life right now.

Therefore, if you don’t like what you’ve got, or you want more, YOU need to change something. Do something different, hang out with different people, break your bad habits! 2009 is the year of the warrior.
