Another Reason to Become a Stripper: Strip Clubs are Good For You

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Strip clubs — good for men? VCG Holdings, an adult entertainment giant with 19 clubs in 10 states thinks so. Recently, they commissioned Empire Research to conduct a study about the impact strip clubs have on men’s health.

“Besides the obvious — beautiful women — we wanted to know what attracted men to adult clubs.” Michael Ocello, president of the VCG Holdings, told The Riverfront Times. “We always knew that our clubs made men feel good, but we didn’t expect the researchers to come back with medical findings that our clubs can also be healthy for you.”

14 year old Stripper in Detroit this weekend

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Without getting on a high horse, we would again like to repeat:
StripAndGrowRich.com does NOT encourage or support underage Strippers. This is a job for mature ladies who can handle the emotions that will undoubtedly arise on the floor.

How in the world does this happen? This makes a good case for clubs to do a better job verifying dancers’ credentials. There are major dollars and legal issues at stake here.

Club owners and managers: Trust but VERIFY. There’s something in the food that makes 14 year-olds LOOK mature, but they just have the body, not the mind.

Do you REALLY want to Become a Stripper in this Economy?

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Two of the most frequently asked questions I get asked are “How do I become a stripper?” and “How much money do strippers make?”  Naturally the third question is related to the economy and based on the assumption that strip clubs are recession proof.  Well, no business  is truly recession-proof (except for funeral homes…I met a mortician the other night at The Lodge) and as more and more women get laid off from their traditional jobs they are turning to stripping to make ends meet.

My friend Casey from Austin was interviewed by a local news channel on how the recession has impacted her earnings.

How can we build a better customer??

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Posted by Bob_Loblaw on another site, used with permission.
Obviously, everyone will say the number one thing a customer can do is spend money.   More specifically though, I think the key is in how a customer spends money. IMO, it should be both generously AND frequently.

We at SGR are REALLY excited to be a part of the 2009 Gentlemen’s Club Expo in Las Vegas at the end of this month.  If you work at a strip club, then you should become  familiar with this this annual convention. So if you live in Vegas, or are planning on attending the Expo, be sure to stop by and say hello.

Economic Darwinism in the Strip Club

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Bobbie in Atlanta sent me an email after listening to my interview on Playboy Radio last week.  Thanks again Christy Canyon and Nikki Hunter for having me on Night Calls!  Between squeezing each others boobs and talking about what Nikki  used to do in the Champagne Room (she didn’t really) we were able to talk about some things that really matter in the industry right now.

Bobbie was asking  about Economic Darwinism.  If you aren’t familiar with biologist Charles Darwin, you may have heard the phrase “survival of the fittest.”  In the wild, the strongest, smartest and most adaptable creatures were the ones who lived through tough times.  The weak and those who are unable or unwilling to adapt are the first to die.

Judge Awards $1 Million to Stripper; Club and Customers held responsible

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

LAWRENCEVILLE – A Gwinnett County State Court judge this week awarded more than $2 million to an adult entertainer and a friend who were attacked by men with pellet guns in 2007.

Judge John Doran ordered that separate awards of $1.1 million be paid to Akeisha Turner, a stripper at Chelsea’s Gentleman’s Club in Athens, and her roommate, Daneane Robinson, stemming from what their attorney called a “terrifying” case of assault with a deadly weapon.

The ordeal was “a living nightmare,” said attorney Mel Hewitt, “and they’re lucky to be alive.”

Another “Sue the Strip Club” Story

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

A story like this surfaces every few months.  One day, when I have the time, I  will go back and research the court documents to follow up on the OUTCOME of each case.  It makes the mainstream news when the suit is first made public, but somehow seems to disappear by the time a resolution surfaces.

Situations like this reflect the precise reason why most clubs  hire exotic dancers as  independent contractors instead of employees.  Notice, Mr Ireland decided to sue the CLUB not the entertainer.  Yet  to what extent is  the club responsible for an entertainer’s conduct?
