Last week I was reading some statistics about social networking that reminded me of the Atlanta Journal Constitution article entitled Hard times push more women to strip clubs. If you don’t recall, I pulled a quote from that article two weeks ago.
I’m going to pull another quote from the same article and then reference the stats I found.
“Those who do wind up working in the business soon learn that even nude dancers have to work harder these days, as patrons spend less and don’t return as often. The cyber-savvy dancers have turned to social media to hold customers’ interest.
To try to boost their appeal, some adult club dancers have embraced Facebook, Twitter and other social media, a move that appears to be paying off. The idea is that customers will stay connected and return to the club on the next business trip, Barney said. Some dancers now have international followings online.”
Now…check out these statistics:
According to Nielson ratings, in January 2010 the average person spend 7 hours a month on Facebook, that is up from four hours a month in August 2009. Two days after this article surfaced, Facebook eclipsed Yahoo and became the 2nd most visited website in the US.
If you are an exotic dancer, you absolutely MUST take advantage of this marketing opportunity. In DancerWealth we have step by step guide entitled How to Brand Yourself using Facebook. It IS possible to social networking to increase your profits SAFELY without giving out any personal information.
