My All Time Favorite Costume
One thing I love about dancing is that Halloween is year round! An entertainer can use costuming and theme sets to set herself apart from the rest of the girls dancing. When I worked in Orange County California, I wore my Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader outfit and danced to LaGrange by ZZ Top and Keep Your Hands to Yourself by the Georgia Satellites at least 3 times a week. When I moved to San Francisco, the Cowboys’ outfit didn’t resonate very well with the Raiders and 49ers fans, so I used my nurse costume more often. DJ John would play Bad Case of Loving You by Robert Palmer and Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi nightly for me. Rounding out my top three favorites is my St. Pauli Girl costume. I have had two different ones over the years, both were a hit. Have a Drink on Me by ACDC is my favorite theme song with this costume.
This Halloween is my (gasp) 10 Year Anniversary of Dancing! I can hardly believe it. Two years ago I celebrated in Vegas with Cartoon Carl. Last year I celebrated with Mike Brady at Babe’s Cabaret in Scottsdale.
Halloween is the best time of year for strippers – best costumes, for sure!
Halloween is something that is a 100% American thing. I got into it, myself.
One of my all-time favourite dancers did a Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz thing last year for Halloween, and it fit her so well!!!
Coming full-circle is something I am coming to terms with, myself. I am probably going home for good in the next three years, and I am both excited and dreading it all at the same time.
Across the pond forever? I’m in Philly for a few weeks, but I think I will remain multi-residential for a while.
I am just about to finish what I have set out to accomplish here. I have had an amazing run, and I will probably sell my part of the business interests to my business partner. I am going to teach him the ropes, then sell the rest of the business to him when I am through. Family needs me back home. But I do love it here and will probably return sooner than later.
Woo hoo Philly! I was born there but was raised in LA so I consider myself an LA native but I can never give up my Philly roots. Funny, a lot of folks from Philly leave and never go back home. It’s awesome you’re going back and have nothing to hide. Make that money girl!
