Did you know that almost half of the population is a carrier of the HPV virus! This fact alone had me blazing the internet for ALL the information I could find on HPV. It’s astonishing how easy this disease is to transmit. Men have comparatively NO risk of symptoms, but are carriers and spread it quite easily. There are thousands of HPV virus strains that can cause genital warts, and there are only 15 strains that lead to cervical cancer.
Do the math on that: if 50% of the population is a carrier…and you have had unprotected sex with more than two people in your life then there is a pretty good chance you have probably been exposed to the virus.
