Saturday nights are infamous date-nites. Last Saturday was no exception at Babe’s Cabaret in Scottsdale.
As soon as I got there, I was tipped onstage by the female half of Type 1 couple. “Please come give me a lapdance when you’re finished.” she said as she slipped a $2 bill into the side of my g-string. That was my first clue….the club two blocks down the street doesn’t give $1 bills as change, they only give out $2 bills. They were primed for dances. “We sat there for an hour and no one approached us!” she said. Type 1 couples are so much fun and easy to sell dances to!
A lot of entertainers are afraid of couples. I know a few who even refuse to dance for women! The key to selling lapdances to couples is to identify which of the Three Types of Couple they are, and which Hot Buttons to push to gain rapport with the woman. Often times, it does take longer to close a sale with a couple, however more often than not it is a double sale. By that I mean you get two dances (one for her, one for him) with only ONE rapport building sales process.

I love it when couples come into the clubs. Mainly because I already predict that there are a limited number of dancers who will approach them, which increases my odds of success with them. I’ve always had luck with closing sales with them. I think one of the reasons dancers get turned off from approaching these situations is because there are *many* women who come in and think that, because they are women, they get a green card to push normal limits. They will be extra touchy, or heaven forbid…they will come in with a skirt or a dress on and not wear underwear (insanely common). This REALLY freaks dancers out.
I mainly only sell to couples or females as a last resort. Why? I can count on one hand in the time I’ve been at my club that a couple (where the female isn’t an ex or current stripper) has been sold on a lap dance. Whereas they are great to get stage tips so I mainly focus my attention on them when it comes time to hustle for stage tips over lap dances.
It’s not just my club, but most clubs I’ve worked within…. They are in the minority.
I also watch a couple for a few minutes usually too.. to see how the girl and guy is ‘reacting’ to their environment. Body language clues not just overt behaviour like tipping.
At the same time, some clubs attract couples more than others. I know one club where ladies are let in for free (a bit of sexism but that’s neither here nor their) to encourage more female patrons and couples.
In a packed club, where dances are being turned quickly, I will go to the easy to close single guy. But part of being a SuperStripper is having all the right tools in your toolbox and knowing when to use which one.
I am the couple queen LOL. Seriously I love them, often it’s a tourist couple who really just connects with me. I can say from experience that my husband and i are mostly avoided at clubs for fear that they will offend me. If the girl is classy and can carry on a conversation than by all means approach me I’ll pay you to chat.
Women can be great to dance for also due to men’s curiosity and fantasy of two ladies together. Chances are if other customers see you dancing for her they will want you to dance for them as well.
Always compliment the girl when you walk up. ” Wow, you brought you own beautiful girl, so I should sit with you right ( looking at the girl while nodding)” Your job is to make her feel fantastic and fulfill a visual image for him. They are the best regulars and why wouldn’t you want to double your income?
