Guys always ask, “So are all you girls friends in here?”
In the past nine years of dancing I’ve made different types of StripperFriends in the club. I’ve had lots of acquaintances: girls who are friendly and I make small talk with in the locker room. I’ve had lots of hustle buddies: girls who have a contrasting look that I team up with to sell dances and VIP rooms to groups. I’ve had travel partners: girls whom I trust enough to share a hotel room.
The unfortunate part of this business is that StripperFriends tend to come and go. Especially the ones who either don’t belong, have a bad memories, and/or are just trying to forget about the time period in their lives when they were strippers. It’s not intentional, as we tend to be a free-spirited, transient bunch. Luckily with Internet social networking it’s a bit easier to stay connected with minimal effort. Currently my best StripperFriends are all from the Internet, we don’t even work at the same clubs most of the time.
Remember my friend long lost StripperFriend Jenny? I’ve written about her a few times times over the past two years: on my first trip back to Vegas, and also last January when I had breakfast alone after a double shift at Treasures during World of Concrete. We lost touch over the years, but we always had that special Aquarius/Sagittarius bond. I found her! Pipl.com is awesome (well, unless you don’t want someone to find you!)
