So I was too braindead yesterday to think. Compounded with the unseasonal rain, it made for a great couch potato day.
I realized I left ya’ll hanging about my LTC upgrades. As you recall, I was unable to upgrade the first night I was in town because the hotel was overbooked. This was confirmed by Virgo on Sunday Night at Treasures, she had been staying there all week long and they were unable to accommodate her extended stay.
So Monday afternoon, I took my IATA letter to the front desk and inquire about available upgrades. I explained that I was a leisure travel consultant, and asked if I could be moved to a higher floor. I don’t like staying on the first floor of a hotel when I am alone. No problemo! I was upgraded to a tower room. Not a suite, but at least a nicer room with a view of the I-15 and Treasure’s Parking Lot. And I will get the 5% booking commission in my check next week!
I ran a few searches today for next week’s LightFair Convention AND the weekend of Bridgette’s Birthday party in Vegas. I have to admit….I’m actually shocked at the deals. I never had customer loyalty to Orbitz, Expedia, or Travelocity. I would just spend five hours searching all three, trying to save a dollar a day on my rental car…and when I would return to the best one it was gone. I did have loyalty to Southwest because my 9th flight was free. That loyalty may be shattered with Daniel Ko’s PowerSearch tool.
So, if you have a trip coming up, try my site first.
