Today’s post is the November Naked Assets Newsletter. As one of their newest affiliates, I’m very excited to have the opportunity to write for the organization’s montly publication. Adam Sternberg, the founder of Naked Assets, asked me ”What did you do different after you took the Naked Assets course that contributed most to your success?”
After thinking about it long and hard I realized that my actions weren’t that different. I dressed the same, I looked the same, I danced the same. I took some of his tips like modifying my sentence structure, being known throughout the club, taking time to gain rapport before asking for the sale. The single most powerful thing I took from Naked Assets was a change of mindset.

I hope it’s going to be a good night.
I’m not going to take my top off if no one tips me on stage. These cheap fuckers at the tip rail, I’m not even going to dance. I’m going to sit here with my arms crossed until they give me a dollar.
I’m just going to sit at the bar until someone asks me for a dance.
I’m too good for these guys. They don’t deserve a pretty girl like me.
That ugly girl must be dirty, she has lots of regulars.
….then your stripping business is probably slowly crumbling because you don’t have a business mindset.
Stripping is a job of skill. It is not a beauty contest. Yes, beauty helps; it gets you noticed. Having a rock hard body, breast implants, bleached teeth, long hair extensions, will entice a guy to wave you over and buy one dance. Beauty is not the end all/ be all to creating a fun experience for men at a strip club. After that one dance that your beauty got you, you have to have something else to keep him interested because there are 50-200 other beautiful women to get one dance from.
Ever wonder why that girl who isn’t as pretty as you has tons of repeat clients? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ladies, did you meet a guy who you thought was really hot…but the more you got to know him…and you realized how conceited he was…the uglier he became and you couldn’t stand being around him? Likewise I’m sure you met someone who wasn’t quite Prince Handsome… but had a great sense of humor… was a lot of fun to be with… and became more attractive the more you go to know him? Well, it’s the same thing in the strip club, except in warp speed. Guys can tell in one dance if you are genuine or self absorbed. They aren’t going to continue to throw down their hard earned cash to the stripper who neglects his fantasy in order to looking at herself in the mirror.
Once I changed my mindset from beauty business to sales business my confidence began to soar. I wasn’t afraid to ask for the sale. I wasn’t afraid of being rejected because he was no longer rejecting me he was rejecting my offer. What a huge boost to my self esteem! You mean I’m not fat/ugly/need bigger boobs? Many times, the client still wanted to hang out with me, so I just modified the offer. Nine times out of ten the second offer created a win/win situation for both of us.
Such a simple change of mindset can make a huge difference in your take home pay. I have kept very detailed record of my take home pay, right down to my return per hour. In the first four years of my dancing career 1999-2003 I made roughly the same amount each year. I was one of Adam’s first students in January 2004. In ONE YEAR, I increased my annual income by 15.7%. In TWO years I increased my annual income by 32%. In THREE YEARS I increased my annual income by 45%.
Now the thoughts that go through my head:
I don’t need luck because I know I will gain rapport with at least one person tonight.
I know someone will like me because I am honest, genuine, and don’t take advantage of people.
Everynight can be a good night if I stay positive and continue
Part of my job description of “stripper” involves me taking my top off. These guys paid their cover charge, bought overpriced beer, and deserve to see my boobs from afar.
I’m going to keep having fun, playful conversations with the patrons. Pretty soon I’ll warm them up and they’ll be ready for some fun!
Self absorbed strippers eventually burn out or implode. Every guy deserves to have the pretty girl of his choice play out his fantasy for 3 minutes.
She must be really fun! I should hang out with her more often.
